A little recap of our summer through Instagram.
The first week of summer started with Emerson's swim lessons. Last summer, she was SO close to swimming on here own (with no floaties). We put her in lessons the first week of summer, and she was swimming in the deep end all by herself 2 days into lessons. Now she dives in, does flips underwater, and likes to race me across the pool. So proud of her! Cutest little 4-year-old!

Knox and his cute little swimming feet. This guy also loved to swim all summer long. He's been in floaties, but refuses help. He swims all over the pool, puts his head under water like he sees Stone and Emerson doing, and loves to run and jump in the pool. He's independent and refuses help. I won't be surprised if he's swimming without floaties next summer when he'll still only be 2.
We have an incredible trail that we love to run through. We park at one stop, run/bike to the park, and head back home. Everyone loves it, and I'm sure we'll be on it more as the weather cools down this fall. This particular day was in August, and the temperature was in the 80s, which is unheard of in East Texas. Bliss!
We had a couple fun parties/outings that included a foam pit this summer (think giant bubble bath with no water).
Many trips to the splash pad!!
A little trampoline fun, but not too much with our hot temperatures. Even a little water doesn't cool it down enough. Our trampoline gets most of its use in the spring and fall. We're gearing up for some fall days on it! In this picture, Cliff was home for lunch, and went out with the kids, and even swept it off. He's the best daddy!
Lots of summer fun all around! Emerson has learned to hang upside down and swing herself into a flip back to the ground. Kind of freaked me out the first time I saw it!
Just through a few Instagram posts, you can see we had a blast this summer. It went by too fast. We are not ready to bid farewell to our summer yet! However, Stone IS excited for a new school year. Just hate to say goodbye to all the summer fun we have!
