Fall and CC come to town!!

My mom came to town for a whole week to spend time with us and see Stone and Emerson in action on the football field and cheerleading sidelines. Stone had a blast this season with football, and Emerson LOVED cheering. And I loved coaching her little squad!

We headed to a super cute nursery to roam around all the pumpkins and fall decor.

Family Pictures 2015

My friend, Bonnie, took some family pictures for us this year, and we love them!! She did a great job. These people are my favorite! I just love them!

After she took a few pictures, the sun was just about down, but Cliff got some fun candids of the kids and me.

Lunch with Emerson

Cliff and I take turns taking lunch to the kids at school. I completely surprised Emerson one day. She had taken her lunch to school, as usual, and I showed up with McDonalds. Seeing her surprised, happy face was so worth it. I love this little girl!

My running buddies

I still teach fitness classes three times a week, but on my days off, I like to take the kids out jogging instead. We often hit the trail, and stop at the park half way through the trail. I'll pack a lunch for Knox to eat at the park, and then we'll head back. It's 6 miles round trip if we do the whole thing. I've been training for my 3rd marathon, and they're my little buddies along the way.

Quick trip to El Paso

My photography business takes me all over. This year, I have been to Austin and El Paso. I'll be heading to Houston by the end of the year, and I've been busy throughout east Texas. I got to head home to shoot a wedding of a high school friend. I took the babe-a-loo with me, and he got to spend some quality time with both sides of the family. And so did I! We spent time with my dad and Lisa, Marcy (Kevin was out of town!), and my Grandma. I lifted weights with my dad, and ate more Mexican food than I should have. We love El Paso so so much!!

I don't usually snap selfies, but I did the night of the wedding. By the end of a wedding, I'm pooped! I carry cameras and equipment and run around like a crazy person. I love it!

You know you're from Texas when...

...all the boys in your family wear boots to church. 

Cruz is the exception for now. 

September 11

Our kids were asked to wear red, white, and blue to school today as they were taught about September 11. I dressed the two littles up, as well, as we remembered the tragic day. I'm so grateful for service men and women that protect our country and help the people living here. The bravery of the fire-fighters and police force that day is more than inspiring. There's really no words. I'm grateful that we continue to have amazing men and women that defend our country. I'm grateful to live in a free land.
