She was pretty heartbroken, but quickly warmed up to the idea. She still kisses my belly and tells me she's excited for the baby.

I was pretty sure it was a boy until the last week or so before the ultrasound. Then I just started thinking girl. Like last pregnancy, I had no gender preference. While pregnant with Emerson, I clearly stated in prayers that I really just wanted at least one boy and one girl. I have that. So whatever came next, I was 100% happy with. Truth is, once upon a time, I never thought I'd get my girl. Once I had her, I just assumed she'd always be my only one. Cliff's side of the family has an overwhelming number of males. It's a boy family.

We are excited for this little guy to enter our family! Love him already!
