We've done the Texas beaches, but I was recently clued in that putting a couple more hours into a drive is well worth it to head to Florida instead. So off we went to Pensacola to kiss our summer days goodbye. We had such a fun time, that we've decided to make it a summer tradition. We hope to go back next summer!
Mostly we played at the beach and ate some really good seafood. We attempted a dolphin cruise on a boat, but we got rained out, and ended up causing the ocean during a storm. We turned around, and although we didn't site the dolphins and sharks like we had hoped, our kids had a blast on the boat.
The sand and sea is good for the soul!
