It would be nice to have a TiVo (we've considered on many different occasions purchasing said merchandise), but not to fast forward through commercials--only to record our shows so we wouldn't feel like we have to be home to catch "our show" or resort to recording horse and buggy style with a VHS recorder (yep, we still do that). I actually enjoy commercials. Cliff and I are both Advertising graduates, and I work in the industry. Therefore, we're quite fascinated with commercials (and a little disappointed with the Super Bowl ads).
The other night, a commercial came on of a little girl selling lemonade. It sparked a flashback for both Cliff and I. When I was younger, I held MANY candy sales. My mom and I would go out to buy the candy, price it just right, and make a poster with the products and prices. I made pretty good money thanks to a supportive neighborhood full of kids that loved candy.
One day Cliff thought he'd sell his toys, so he set up a toy sale. His mom came home and offered to buy his whistle. She said she'd take it to work and blow it at her employees.
Thank you Mom and Marcy for supporting our entrepreneurial gigs.

Well you're not the only ones still stuck in the 90's. We use our VHS to record a show almost every night. The first hour on tapes have been recorded on so many times that the first couple of minutes on the show the sound is all funky. Time for a new tape I suppose.
Haha...you and your candy sales! The neighborhood teens rivaled the kids as your biggest support group. It never surprised me that you chose advertising/marketing as your major/career.
Dang cute pic of Cliff...lil boy does look daddy! Marcy didn't care that he was selling his toys? Nice mama!
P.S. I notice your big bottle of water and the umbrella...your mama taught you well :)
LOL- I had soooo many lemonade/kool-aid sales growing up!! It was pretty much what we had at the house that I could sell!! lol :0)
I totally remember those candy sales on the corner of Forest Hills and Cory :)
