Flashback Friday: Three years ago

Three years ago, I was interning at an advertising agency in SLC. I was really hoping (and praying) for a job offer as the summer was wrapping up and graduation was approaching (August). I felt confident. My mentor/supervisor was pushing for it, and the president said some things that gave me confidence. However, as it got closer to the end, I had a feeling there would be no offer. There just wasn't enough work to bring on another AE (account executive). It was a smaller agency, and I just had the feeling. I began my job hunt, and quickly found the company, whom I continue to work for (now from home).

Before I got my job, I was a little discouraged because I thought I had proven myself worthy of an offer. However, it was truly an answer to my prayers, and I didn't realize it at the time. I love my job, and I love the people I work with. When we moved back to Texas from SLC, I was offered the chance to continue working from home, which was a huge blessing, especially considering I had a 4 week old baby AND my husband was beginning law school.

I know that Heavenly Father watches out for each and every one of us, and sometimes it just takes us a little longer to realize his plan for us.
