Why is it that "in-laws" are barely tolerated by most people? I'm a broken record when I say this, but I seriously do have the best ones. Since day one when Cliff and I started dating (I was 16!), they have always been so wonderful.
I mentioned a while back that Stone calls Grandpa Jessup "Popcorn Jessup". For some reason the "p" has always thrown him off. He can say Grandma with no problem. Well, he now says it just fine, and it's kind of sad, because it contributes to the constant reminder that he's growing up. Cliff said, "Stone! Grandma and Popcorn Jessup are coming!" Stone said, "No, Daddy. It's not Popcorn. It's GRANDPA."
Cliff's parents came to visit this weekend and meet their new and only grand-daughter (well, she's the only girl until Deborah's twins decide to arrive). We LOVED having them! Stone sure loved having them, as well. He kept them busy and entertained. They (and everyone else for that matter) cannot believe the kid does not have an off switch. He's go go go go go.
Thank you Marcy and Kevin for coming this weekend and spoiling us! We looooove having you!
Unless they are candid, Stone is getting harder and harder to take pictures of. Below is our attempt at getting a picture of our kids with their grandparents.
AND, as Obama would say... "Let me be clear," ...Stone is not doing a strip tease in that first pic. He's being "Clark Kent" and taking his dress shirt off to be Superman. And he will correct you every time if you call him Superman when he's in Clark mode, and if you call him Clark when he's in Superman mode, and don't dare call him either when he's in Spiderman mode. Side note: Stone can identify most of the superheros...Superman, Batman, Robin, Flash, Green Lantern, Cyborg, Spiderman, Iron Man, Aqua Man, etc. He will also tell you their names...Clark Kent, Peter Parker, Tony Stark. He was in Subway with Cliff the other day, holding Iron Man, and a man in line asked if that was Iron Man, to which Stone replied, "NO. Tony Stark."

so cute... Aunt Kristen NEEDS to meet this little Stone... such a character!
What a fun weekend!!! It's so cute to see Kevin holding a little girl! And Stone is so...Stone :)
It's so nice when you can feel just as comfortable with your in laws as your family. I hope I can make it that way for my future in laws!! Stons is so funny. Where does is he learn all that? I honestly think Thomas may only have heard of Batman, but I love Stones obsession!
what fun pics and how cute of them with the popcorn grandparents!!
Stone is so smart! I love his superhero obsession! He is quite the handsome character!
These pictures are wonderful - Stone cracks me up and Emerson is a living doll! So fun to see Marcia & Keven with your kids. Soren called my dad "Apple Snider", even though he could say "grandma" just fine. Weird, huh?
Emerson is so cute. I think she looks a lot like Stone. I really need to get over and see her in person don't ya think?!?!
