Family pics and a trip to Utah...

Just before we left for the holidays, we took some family pictures, with the intentions of mailing out Christmas cards.  Well, the days leading up to our trip were VERY hectic, so it may be a "Happy New Years" card that gets out.  At any rate, these were a few of the pics we took...

The first stop of our vacation was Utah. Stone and I traveled up to Salt Lake for Lauren's wedding.  Lauren and I are childhood best friends.  We grew up in the same neighborhood, went to church and school together, and share many, many memories!!  I was a part of her bridal party.

While there, we got to spend time with my new niece, Chloe (Tanner's new baby!).  She is BEAUTIFUL.  

Tanner is so cute with her.  He reads to her every night.  Very cute! Already, Charee and Tanner seem to be great parents!  

It was fun to spend time with family up in Utah.  Jordan and his wife, Rachel (as well as my mom!) babysat Stone in Provo while I went up to Salt Lake for the wedding.  It was a fun few days!! We are now in El Paso with Cliff, and will also be traveling to Arizona!  Stay tuned for more Holiday news and pics...

Stone's New Laugh

Tonight we watched National Lampoons Christmas Vacation with some friends. Everyone's laughing caused Stone to wake up, and he pretty much just watched everyone laugh the rest of the movie. When we got home, out of nowhere, he started laughing with this new laugh (of course I continued to egg him on). Check it out.

While I'm working, I often lay out a quilt for Stone to roll around on. If I leave the room for a split second, he manages to reach the other side. I'm not sure how exactly he's doing this so fast (many scoots and rolls, I'm sure), but I did catch a little scoot/crawl on the camera. Check it out!

Happy Holidays!

We had a blast this past weekend. It's so nice to be back in Texas and close to family. It gives us the chance to go home for all the special occasions rather than just once a year.

Cliff's family, my Dad and Lisa and the Brackens (my aunt/uncle/cousins) all still live there, and it serves as a halfway meeting point for my mom (who lives in Arizona). So, we had a weekend full of family fun! Great food (as always when we go to El Paso! I think we gain 10 lbs every time. Can't beat the Mexican food), fun shopping with my mom, and just some good ole' family spending time. What a perfect Thanksgiving weekend!

This is Marcy, Cliff's mom. Unfortunatly, we do not have a picture of Cliff's dad. He is quite the busy bee, always on the go. Perhaps Stone gets his active, "lets-go-non-stop" personality from him.

And so I am tagged again...

So I have been tagged, once again. This time by Cori and Jacki. My cousin, Lyndsie, already tagged me once, but here are some new things. And as far as the pics of Stone...they have nothing to do with the post, but I know some people just get on to look at pictures (Shannon!).

So here we go....

6 Random Things About Me:

1. Jacki said she plays dress up and gets embarrassed when Mark catches her. Quite similar, I have my own fashion shows, but actually put them on for Cliff. EVERY TIME I come home from shopping (even if it's something small like new jewelry!) I put on a fashion show for him and walk down the cat walk. Yes, I sure do.

2. I LOVE colored doors on homes. I often base my opinion of a home by its door. Cliff has convinced me that paint can do the job, and we don't have to buy a home based on its door.

3. SPICY FOOD. Enough said. If your eyes aren't watering and your nose isn't running, it's not spicy enough. On one of our first dates, Cliff and I went for Chinese and had a contest with the unusually spicy Chinese red peppers. We kept going and going until we mutually decided it was a draw. I think I really won. Sorry, babe.

4. Cliff says I'm a side seat driver. I won't quite admit it. I turn my scream into a church or primary song and start singing really loud in the car. So, if it looks like we're going to rear end a car, you may hear, "AHHHHH!!!...love to see the Temple, I'm going there some day...." (a favorite children's primary song). Then I tell him, "what?? I'm just singing."

5. Hawaii is a SPECIAL place for us. We will end up there one day...I hope. We went to school there while we were engaged, and although I was sure Cliff was the one, I had a final confirmation, an answer to my prayers. I use to cry when we'd reminisce, and told all my family, "we're meant to go back for something...I know we are" and they all said, "of course! It's Hawaii!" But it's more than just the tropical paradise. We shall see what awaits...

6. I love advertising. I work out of my home for an advertising agency based out of Salt Lake City. Cliff and I both received our degrees in advertising from BYU. We love advertising and always brain storm an ad campaign and direction change for different companies and businesses. Cliff is particularly a creative genius. He always has been.

The Rolling Stone...4 Months Old!

Time flies when you're having fun! I can't believe it's been 4 months since Stone was born. He's been a bundle of joy. We have so much fun with him. Curiosity is the greatest babysitter. He is just so curious about everything around him.

He's been rolling all over the place the last couple weeks. I guess you could call him The Rolling Stone. Yesterday and today he attempts to gain movement forward.

It's not going to be long before he crawls. I know, I know...he's only 4 months, but check out this video clip. Keep in mind he's on the bed, which I'm sure is a little harder for him to move on. ***Please know that he does not almost fall off the bed...I am right there!***

Here he is a couple hours old with my brother, Tanner. Tanner and his cute wife, Charee, are expecting their baby girl any week now! He's going to be such a good dad. It's too bad we're so far away now, but I'll get to see them all in Decemeber when I go up to Utah for my best friend's wedding. Stay tuned for pics of soon-to-be-baby-Brown (name to be determined).

Fall Festivities!

Happy Halloween! We have had a blast these last few days. This year for the festivities, Stone was Batman, Cliff was Robin, and I was The Joker. We had fun putting the costumes together, and Stone was such a good sport about it! Poor guy, though--he didn't recognize his mommy! I usually can get him to smile with the snap of a finger, but he was terrified when he looked at me.

And yes, Cliff wore tights. It takes a manly man to wear green tights, I tell ya! And he did it. We had so much fun!

Also, this past weekend, we went to our first Murder Mystery dinner. We had a lot of fun! I was Sylvie, a Polish immigrant and director of the paparazi, and Cliff was Valentino, a Spanish Richard Simmons. He got to flaunt his tights twice in 3 days. Beat that.
