My Little Ham

We took family pictures Sunday when we got home from church. As you can see, Stone is a little ham. He is always so alert and makes the cutest faces.
He had his two month check up yesterday and the doc says he's doing great! He's up to 12 lbs 2 oz, measuring 23 inches. That puts him in the 55th percentile for babies his age. So he's just above the average on growth! The doc was proud of him. :) He got his shots, and took em' like a man. However, he felt the effects today and had a temperature. Bless his little heart, he kept trying to smile and talk like usual but you can tell he was in pain! Pretty fussy, which isn't his norm.

Laughing Is Contagious

Stone is a YAPPER. He is always talking and smiling. I absolutely love it! We're trying to get him to laugh, and he's almost there. He has his own laugh that's mingled with squeals. Well, since babies imitate what they see and hear, we decided we'd try to get him to mimic our laughs. So, Cliff and I started to laugh (but they were fake laughs), and before we knew it, we were laughing so hard. Stone started to mimic us, and that made us laugh even more. I've said before, and I'll say it again, he is our entertainment. Who needs TV and movies when you've got a precious baby!

On another note, he has found his thumb. He's always sucked on his knuckles (the moment he was born he was sucking on his knuckles). Well, we figure it's easier to throw away a pacifier than it is to throw a hand or thumb away. But, this week he begun throwing his pacifier out, and sucking his thumb! Although we'd rather have him suck on his pacifier, it is CUTE. You can see it in the 4th picture on the 2nd row in the collage.

Plaster and Bath Time!

Beginning in the womb, Stone has been the most active baby. He is always "running a marathon". If lying down, his legs and arms are moving full speed, while he talks and smiles. He eventually tires himself out, but it takes a while! Well...we've been trying to find a good time to get his hand print (but he's always so active), so we finally tried it the other night while he was sleeping. Sure enough, he woke up, and after about 3 tries, we were able to get a handprint after trying both hands.

Naturally, it led to bath time, which he absolutly loves.

Labor Day in El Paso

It's nice being so close to El Paso now. We were able to make a quick trip over for Labor Day weekend. While over there, we were able to bless Stone at the church/ward Cliff and I both grew up in. We were also able to go to Cliff's cousin's wedding, and introduce Stone to Cliff's Mom's side of the fam!

"I'm a Mexican??"

"Shhh, Stone. Don't tell Grandpa." -Stone with his cousin Danny Ocean

"Mom, please. I can sit up like them, too."
