The leaves are falling down.

It's fall, and the leaves are finally dropping, which means A LOT of raking for us. We were so excited for our big front and back yard when we bought this home a couple years ago. We quickly realized big yards over-rated. Ha! No, we really do enjoy all the space, but it takes more time to to keep up with it than we realized.

I'm so grateful to live in the state of Texas. I mean, really. Look at these kids, it's the last week of November, and they don't even have coats on. In the summer time, I will be singing a different tune, but we survive the summers to enjoy the rest of the year. But oh, there are even many more reasons to love Texas. That's for another post, another day.

Stone's Thanksgiving Feast

As a family, we got to join Stone for his Thanksgiving feast at his school. It was so fun to see him in his element. He LOVES school. He loves learning, he loves playing, he loves his friends, and he loves his teacher. It was awesome to see him interact in his classroom, and it was fun for Emerson and Knox to be able to see what he's been up to all year. We love this kid so much. Stone, you rock, buddy!

Headshot Roundup!

I've been told time and time again that my children are triplets separated by a couple years. I may or may not have some clip-on bangs, and I may or may not have way too much fun with them. ...including putting them on my children.  After taking these two shots, and quickly showing Cliff, he did not realize one picture was Stone and one was Emerson.

Soooo....that called for a headshot roundup to compare my baby's faces. Emerson is easy to pick out because of her bows and headbands. But do you agree?!

Halloween 2013

In case you didn't know, we take Halloween seriously at our home. We go all out, people. This year, we had a Wonderland theme. I don't know how many more years we will be able to pull off the family theme. This year, we had to bribe Stone, because let's face it, a Card Soldier (that's what we called it) was not exciting to him. I promised him if he'd be a good sport for our family church party (which was the night before Halloween), then he could be whatever he wanted to be on Halloween. He agreed.

So if you look at the little collage, 2009 we were lame and didn't dress up with Stone. We had been in Arizona until the day before our party, so I had no time to put something together. 2011 we went our separate ways, and came back with a family theme in 2012. haha. See, we have too much fun!!
So...this year, Cliff was the Mad Hatter, I was the Queen of Hearts, Stone was my "Card Soldier", Emerson was Alice, and Knox was the rabbit.

And then for Halloween day, I let them be what they wanted to be...
(complete with he blue lolly pop smile).
