Emerson Rose V. 4.0

Every day I thank my Heavenly Father for this little girl. She is the kind of girl I always imagined I'd have. She is still both incredibly sweet and sassy. She is FABULOUS. We love you so much, Emerson Rose!

*3 ft. 5.5 inches tall (82nd percentile!)
*She is a dancer and loves her dance class, but admits it's hard. She takes it so seriously. It's so fun to watch her practice.
*She still sings ALL the time. This started as a baby when we introduced solids. She'd hum between bites, and we knew that meant she wanted more. She is always singing a song.
*She loves dolls and her doll house
*She can practically do a backbend by herself!
*She is obsessed with cottage cheese!
*She LOVES primary.
*She loves to pick "flowers" (sometimes they are weeds) and give them to me. She also loves to draw me little things, cut them up, and put them in an envelope.
*She likes to give everyone a pretend birthday every day.

She is so sweet. We love love love love love her.

Since her birthday was on Sunday, we started the celebrations on Saturday with her first ever manicure & pedicure. Any time I get home from one, she begs to go with me next time, and I promised I'd take her on her birthday. I took one for the team and got one myself. :)

Started off her birthday morning with requested donuts:
And then moved on to presents:

She played with her bubbles when we got home from church:

And then that night we made a strawberry cake (per request) for the birthday princess. An awesome birthday weekend for an awesome little girl.

Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam!

In our church, children get to start attending nursery at 18 months of age (that means Knox gets to be in there in a couple weeks!). Then, they get to move on up to primary the January after they turn 3. Well, Emerson's birthday is January 26, so she just barely missed the cut off last year. Needless to say, she has felt a little grown up for quite some time now (even though she does love playing in the nursery). She was counting down the days until she got to move on up to primary. The little class of 3 year olds is called Sunbeams. Cute, right? So her birthday is around the corner, and she will be 4, but she is SO excited to finally be in with the big kids. We love sour little sunbeam!
