I have some great men in my life, and it's always nice to celebrate them on Father's Day! For starters, our fathers are awesome. Cliff's dad taught him to be a hard working man, and for that, I'm grateful! I share my dad's determination and negotiation skills. My brothers (and in laws, as well!) are great with their kids also. These are men that understand how crucial the father figure role is. A BIG thanks to these men! I love 'em all!
As for my hubby, he is one heck of a father. I am already seeing the difference in the father role to our son and the role to our daughter. It's fun to see. I love learning this whole parent thing with him. Happy Father's Day to all (a couple days late, I know).
Oooh...and I may have given my hubby tickets for Dave Matthews in Dallas. We're kind of excited.

Obedience
This kid...
is funny. He is entertaining. He has perfect comedic timing.
...and by perfect comedic timing, I mean it's totally not always the best. Make sense? Like when I'm in the middle of disciplining him.
...which takes me to discipline. I have been trying SO hard to teach this kid obedience. He likes to provoke; he thinks he is funny. Which most of the time he is, so it makes it that much harder. Lately, I feel like he does not listen at all. I'm ready to change my way of discipline. What do you do? What works for you? I need to make some changes. I'm listening!

Angel
Ahhh, this baby girl is such an angel. I feel so blessed that she is who she is. I feel like we custom ordered her. She is just so perfect.
Doesn't she look so sweet? She LOVES to sleep with things on her face...whether it is her own hands, burrying her head in your chest, or rolling over so her face is half down.
She has become quite mobile. She will get from one side of the room to the other by rolling front to back, front to back, and scooting a bit. She is trying so hard to crawl already. Not yet, Emerson!! I'm not ready for you to be completely mobile!
WE LOVE HER.

Memorial Day
To celebrate the day, we started off with a 5k that our church put on. There was a pretty good turn out, and I came in first place for the women and 5th overall! It was a lot of fun. I haven't raced in a couple years, and now I have the racing itch.
We then had pizza, and spent plenty of time at the pool, followed by a nice, relaxing nap. This weekend was great! Hope you all had a great Memorial Day.
